bridge the gap, mind is a bitch

This is the first of a series of animations created by taking dripped-on-canvas paintings by Sam Punzina and then digitally enhanced.

Supposedly, the story behind it is:

Sam painted this canvas after she watched a documentary about the life of H. P. Lovercraft. It seems that the birdhouse pictured on this painting was his and it had absorbed some kind of magic power during the writing of the short story "The Call of Cthulhu". Since then, the birdhouse started to act in a weird way.
